Lets Get Physical: How To Get Started Working Out

I find it very hard sometimes to try and find the motivation to work out, especially during the holidays. It is so important to stay fit and healthy. Here are ways to get that body moving!

Do Things You Enjoy

Find an activity that you actually enjoy doing, whether it’s swimming, running, dancing or hiking. It will be so much easier to stay motivated when you are doing something you enjoy.

Start Slow

Don’t burn yourself out by over exceeding yourself to a point where you lose your motivation. If you start slowly you can build yourself up each time, with harder intensifies and more goals.


Find The Time

It’s really hard to fit working out in, especially when your days are so busy. Taking breaks in between study sessions for example can be very helpful.

Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself

Everyone is a beginner at one point. If you make a mistake or miss a workout, don’t beat yourself up about it.



Just Do It

Don’t let yourself make excuses. Think of ways to reward yourself once you have achieved a certain goal.

“Do something everyday that brings you closer to your goals.”

Eat Healthy

Eat food that is good for your brain. Even though it’s easier to just each junk food, eating healthy will help you feel better and think clearly. Some good foods for your brain are:

  • whole grains (pasta, bread, rice)
  • fish
  • blueberries
  • pumpkin seeds
  • broccoli
  • nuts
  • spinach
  • legumes

There are so many ways to find the motivation to start working out but it is important to find healthy inspirations to get that body moving!
